Lewis and Clark Discovery Expedition Boat On the way back from checking our boats on the river we came upon the Lewis and Clark Expedition's replica keelboat that is being used to re-create the journey broke down on the shoulder of Highway 94 north of St. Charles. We stopped to see if they needed any help. Seems the 1954 Chevrolet Truck they are using as a tow vehicle had run out of gas and the escort vehicle had already left to get some more gas. Visited with the driver of the truck who gave us an impromptu tour and told us quite a bit about the boat and the journey. After taking some pictures and making sure they didn't need anything we continued on our journey.
