Went to see my daughter receive her Master's Degree in Military Studies and Distinguished Graduate from the Marine Corps Command and Staff College in Quantico Virginia. Or, as I like to call it, a Master's Degree in Blowing Sh*t Up". Tuesday evening we flew into Baltimore, picked up a rental car and drove to Stafford Virginia where my daughter lives. Wednesday morning was the graduation ceremony at Little Hall on the base at Quantico. It was a typical graduation ceremony except almost everybody had a uniform on! Spent the rest of Wednesday hangin with my granddaughter Anna Grace, Dee and Paul, Dee's Mom Chris and Paul's parents, John and Louiselle. Check out the graduation pictures at: /Virginia2005/DeannareceivingherMastersDegree/index.html Thursday morning we headed to Williamsburg Virginia for some sightseeing and history lessons. This is the town where our Declaration of Independence really got it's start. We stayed at the Governor's Inn and either walked or took the shuttles around the town. You can check out the pictures at: /Virginia2005/WilliamsburgVirginia/index.html Colonial Williamsburg has a website at: The Official Colonial Williamsburg Guide, for historic Williamsburg, Virginia Friday morning we headed back to Stafford with a stop for sightseeing and lunch in Fredericksburg Virginia. Saturday morning we headed to Baltimore and a nights stay in the Radisson Plaza Lord Baltimore Hotel, which was a birthday / Father's Day gift from Paul, Deanna and Anna Grace. After a few hour stop at the National Mall in Washington D. C. to tour some of the monuments and memorials we arrived at Baltimore, checked in to the fantastic room and then headed to Baltimore's Inner Harbor. This is an area with lot's of restaurants, bars, tourist things, marinas and a full working harbor. There was so much to do at the Inner Harbor that we stayed there until nighttime and then headed back to the hotel only 4 blocks away. Sunday we flew back home and crashed!
